Ugh. Called 3 times regarding an extension for my weed eater. First time I was on hold for 8 minutes. Second time I was simply hung up on after the person said parts and then there was silence... The 3rd time I was on hold for a brief 6 minutes when they finally answered. I asked about the part, "nope, we don't have it in stock." They didn't offer to order it, check their inventory or see if they may have more on the way. In this time of the interwebs customer service is a plus from a small retailer. Which I didn't get here. I guess I'll just order directly from the manufacturer and stay away from Elliot's. Hopefully others will have a better experience.
I have bought from them before but will never go back again. I actually talked to the manager directly when I went in this time. Not because i had an issue, but I had noticed that they carry a particular piece of equipment. Terrible experience talking to him and he just told me "to take it up with corporate, they aren't privately owed". He was very rude and not helpful at all. I was there to offer help for something they represent, not to sell him something, just provide him with knowledge and possibly another resource. I ended up walking out and went to Lakeview Power to purchase my zero turn and weed eater. On the flip side, the sales staff seemed to be very nice, I guess they have to be to make up for he manager.
It's a good store. Closer than Home Depot to me so I go there for a quick pick up. Support the local neighborhood. Prices reflect a small store but not bad. People are very helpful and take care of me every time.
Awesome selection friendly knowledgeable staff and fair prices and most importantly not Home Depot.
